EMT BASIC

Our Basic Emergency Medical Technician Course is an in-depth exploration of basic life support.

Students learn about acute illnesses, medical emergencies, traumatic emergencies, childbirth, rescue extrication, ambulance operations, splinting techniques, communication and documentation, medical-legal implications, AED/CPR, as well as basic medications and their effects

This course combines both classroom lectures with slides and videos along with hands-on lab days where new skills are practiced and performed.

The course involves approximately 120 hours of classroom participation where attendance is mandatory. The curriculum meets or exceeds current National EMS Guidelines and has Massachusetts OEMS approval.
